This UPVC foot valve is designed for pump suction lines. When the pump starts, it creates a vacuum/suction that lifts the internal ball, allowing water to flow from the bottom to the top. When the pump stops, the suction force ceases, and the ball falls back onto its seat by gravity, instantly closing the valve to prevent backflow and maintain pump prime.
